Duromine in respiratory failure

Obesity provokes respiratory failure and daytime sleepiness (Pickwickian syndrome). This syndrome is characterized by:

Hypoventilation;
Sleep apnea;
Pulmonary hypertension;
Impaired sensitivity of the respiratory center to hypoxia;
Violation of the central nervous system (CNS) as sleep disorder.
The main factors, affecting external respiration are mechanic factors and violation of metabolic processes. Studies have shown that changes of functions of external respiration depend on obesity severity. Therefore, they are improved or compounded along with an increase or reduction of body weight.

To lose weight in violated functions of external respiration, Duromine anorectic is prescribed. Along with weight loss, Duromine diet pills reduce fat on the ribs in people with violated functions of external respiration. This increases distensibility of the chest wall and facilitates enlargement of the chest wall during inhalation and exhalation.

Duromine burns off not only abdominal fat, but also mediastinal fat, thereby improving the mobility of lungs and diaphragm. Along with the weight loss, Duromine anti-obesity drug improves breathing and elasticity of the chest wall.

Because of reduction of adipose tissue in the respiratory tract, Duromine eliminates dyspnea and reduces the level of oxygen necessary for the contraction of the respiratory muscles. When functions of external respiration are affected by obesity, about 15% of oxygen is wasted on respiratory muscle contraction.

Thus, a large part of oxygen does not take part in metabolism, resulting in violated external respiration and reduction in lung volume. Duromine provides weight loss, increasing reserve expiratory volume and functional residual capacity (FRC). This provides patency of distal airways.

Obesity reduces the reserve expiratory volume, which causes alveolar collapse and microatelectasis. Thus, weight loss with Duromine provides two variants of improvement of external respiration – first one is an increase of the lung volume and the second one is an expansion of a distal airways.

Apart from impaired function of external respiration, obesity affects the metabolic process. In particular, weight loss helps to achieve an optimal level of leptin hormone.

It is known that obesity affects leptin metabolism. Leptin is a hormone, which is secreted by fat cells. Leptin acts in hypothalamus, where it connects to Ob receptors, activating the signals that slow down food intake and increase energy consumption.

Duromine also acts in hypothalamus, thereby normalizing the level of leptin in the body. Weight loss with Duromine provides an optimal level of leptin, thereby ensuring a normal ventilation stimulus and reducing functions of the respiratory tract in people suffering from obesity. An optimal level of leptin prevents the development of alveolar hyperventilation.

Thus, weight loss as a result of Duromine drug therapy, improves functions of external breathing and bronchial patency. An improvement of bronchial patency due to the use of Duromine is determined by a decrease in alveolar pressure and airway resistance.
