Clonazepam – possible side effects and interactions

When used properly, Clonazepam should not produce any significant side effects and the most common side effects are in fact the mildest ones, such as: weight changes, sleep issues, skin rash, blurred vision, headaches, runny nose, loss of appetite, slurred speech, diarrhea, nausea, sore gums, constipation, tiredness, dizziness, loss of balance, muscle weakness, drowsiness and memory issues. Even these are not that common and only occur in a small percentage of Clonazepam users. More serious side effects are even less likely and they extremely rarely occur if the medication is used according to the prescription. They include new seizures, pale skin, easy bleeding, painful urination, pounding heartbeat, involuntary eye movements, shallow breathing, risk taking behavior, confusion, hallucinations, unusual behavior, as well as behavior or mood changes such as hyperactivity, restlessness, aggressiveness, agitation, irritability, depression, anxiety, hostility or suicidal or self-harming thoughts.
